Glebe 2037 sits between the University of Sydney and Rozelle Bay, in Inner West Council. The housing is dominated by Federation and Victorian terraces on the streets running back from Glebe Point Road and St Johns Road, plus a smaller band of newer apartment buildings closer to Broadway serving the USyd student and staff market. A few converted warehouse pockets sit toward the harbour end near Blackwattle Bay.
Glebe Point Road is the main north-south spine of the suburb, running from Broadway to the water at Jubilee Park. It's a busy road with buses, cafés and constant retail traffic. For load-outs on Glebe Point Road we usually stage from a side street (Wigram Road, Cook Street, Ferry Road) rather than trying to park directly on the strip.
Many Glebe terraces have rear-lane access — the laneways off Wigram Road, Cook Street and Boyce Street are workable for a moving truck. If your block backs onto a lane, tell us the lane name on the quote call. Rear-lane loads on terrace moves finish 30–45 minutes faster than street-frontage equivalents.
Broadway is the southern boundary of the suburb and the main artery in and out toward the CBD. Weekday 7am–9am eastbound and 4pm–6pm westbound are heavy with commuter and bus traffic. For truck routes in and out we push toward mid-morning windows where the schedule allows.
