What Cronulla actually involves.

Cronulla splits into three move profiles. The beach strip — Kingsway, The Esplanade, South Cronulla Road — is mostly apartment buildings from the 1960s–90s plus some newer towers, mostly 4–8 storeys with or without lifts. The mid-suburb area around Cronulla Station and Gerrale Street has a mix of apartments and townhouses. The hillside streets to the west (Pelican Court, Surf Road, Cronulla Street) are family homes on larger blocks with proper driveways — the easiest move profile in the suburb.

The Shire is accessed from the rest of Sydney via Captain Cook Bridge on the Princes Highway, and that bottleneck dominates move logistics. Midweek outside peak, Cronulla is 25–30 minutes from our Arncliffe base. Peak hours or summer weekends (November through February Saturday/Sunday), it can stretch to 60–90 minutes. We quote Cronulla moves with an honest time-of-week note — a 7am Tuesday start in July is a different job from a 10am Saturday start in January.

Kingsway is the beach-edge road and it is slow at best. Any move with a Kingsway address gets scheduled early — 7am on weekdays, 7:30am on weekends. Parking inspectors are active and the loading zones fill quickly. A short-term loading permit from Sutherland Shire Council (approx $80, 7 days notice) is usually worth it for beach-front 2-bed+ moves.

November–February Saturday/Sunday access is materially harder. We can still do the move — we just need an early start and sometimes a different approach route via Taren Point Road instead of Captain Cook Bridge.

Beach-edge addresses need early starts regardless of season and often benefit from a loading permit. If you book early we arrange this with you.

Note the building storey and lift status

Many Cronulla 1970s–80s apartment buildings are walk-ups, and the ones with lifts often have small ones (single dolly at a time). Floor level and lift size both affect the estimate.

Hillside homes — tell us about the driveway angle

Some of the Cronulla hillside streets have steep driveways that can bottom out our 10-tonne truck. We can switch to an 8-tonne for those addresses; tell us the street and we will check.
