How Hartmann Removals handles your personal information when you request a quote, book a move, or browse this website. Last updated 19 April 2026.

Who we are

Hartmann Removals is the trading name of Gold Line Movers Pty Ltd (ABN 40 886 762 550), a Sydney-based removalist business. When we say "we", "us" or "our" in this policy, we mean Gold Line Movers Pty Ltd trading as Hartmann Removals.

We handle your personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

What we collect

To quote and deliver a move, we collect the details you give us when you contact us or fill in the quote form:

  • Your name.
  • Your phone number and email address.
  • The pickup and destination addresses for your move.
  • Details about the move itself — property type, rough inventory, preferred date, access notes.
  • Any notes you add about fragile or specialty items.
  • Payment information at time of booking or on move day (we do not store full card numbers on our systems).

If you visit the website, our analytics provider (Cloudflare Web Analytics) records anonymised, aggregated page-view data. It does not use cookies or fingerprinting, and we cannot identify individual visitors from it.

How we use your information

We use your personal information to:

  • Prepare and send you a quote.
  • Contact you about the move — confirming timing, access arrangements, arrival updates.
  • Dispatch the crew and route the truck on move day.
  • Raise and collect payment for the work completed.
  • Respond to any damage or insurance claim that may arise.
  • Keep records that Australian tax, insurance and consumer law require us to keep.

We do not send marketing emails or SMS messages without your explicit opt-in. If we ever launch a mailing list, it will be separate from your quote and every message will carry a one-click unsubscribe.

Who sees your information

Your details are seen only by the people who need them to run your move:

  • Our sales contact (Thales Yan) and the removalist crew assigned to your job.
  • Our insurance providers, only if a public-liability or transit-insurance claim is made on your move.
  • Our payment provider (for card processing), our accountant and the Australian Taxation Office for the tax invoice generated by your move.
  • Law enforcement or a regulator, only if we are legally compelled to disclose.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. Ever.

Where it’s stored and how it’s protected

Quote and booking details are stored on business systems hosted in Australia or on reputable cloud services with Australian data regions where available. Access is limited to the people who need it to deliver your move.

We take reasonable steps — access controls, device security, and secure transmission — to protect your information. No internet-connected system is risk-free, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take it seriously and keep the attack surface small.

How long we keep it

We keep your quote and booking details for seven years after your move, which matches the Australian Taxation Office’s record-keeping requirement for tax invoices. After that they are deleted or de-identified.

If you ask us for a quote and never book, your enquiry details are kept for twelve months and then deleted, unless a move is booked from the same enquiry.

Cookies and analytics

This website runs on Cloudflare Pages and uses Cloudflare Web Analytics. Cloudflare Web Analytics does not set tracking cookies and does not fingerprint visitors — it only records anonymised aggregate page-view counts. That is why this site does not show a cookie consent banner.

If you follow a link from our site to a third-party site (for example a Google Maps link), their privacy policy applies once you land there.

Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Principles you can:

  • Ask us what personal information we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct information that is wrong or out of date.
  • Ask us to delete information we no longer need to keep.
  • Raise a concern about how we have handled your information.

Email [email protected] or call 0426 675 461 and we will respond within 30 days. If you’re not happy with how we resolve a privacy concern, you can escalate to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this policy

If we materially change how we handle your information, we’ll update this page and change the “Last updated” date at the top. The current version was last updated on 19 April 2026.
