Most buildings ask for a certificate of currency and a move-in bond before they’ll release the lift window.

Weekday vehicle restrictions in the CBD core mean trucks can’t sit kerbside on most main streets — George, Elizabeth, Pitt, Castlereagh — during business hours. Loading docks and dedicated service laneways are the way in, and they’re booked, not first-come. We send the truck to the building’s dock address, not the street address, on move day.

Office relocations from the CBD are our highest-volume commercial run. Almost all are scheduled Friday evening through Sunday so the business reopens clean on Monday. They’re quoted with 3 or 4 movers (from $210–$300/hr + GST), after-hours rates where applicable, and both buildings’ loading-dock and service-lift windows planned in advance.

Book the loading dock at both ends first

Your residential tower and the destination building each need a dock and service-lift booking. Most CBD buildings want 2–3 weeks’ notice, some more for weekends. Lock both ends in, then call us with the windows — we match the crew and truck to your slots.

Office relocation: name the target Monday

Tell us the Monday the business needs to open. We schedule backward from that — a typical small-office relocation is a Friday evening pack-down, Saturday move, Sunday pack-in, with Monday for settling in. Larger offices may need two weekends.

Certificate of currency — we send it

Every CBD building will ask for a certificate of currency showing public liability and goods-in-transit cover before the dock booking is confirmed. Give us the building name and the person at building management; we send it directly.

IT, phone and artwork — flag separately

For office relocations, server racks, phone systems and framed artwork have their own handling and insurance considerations. Tell us upfront so we plan the crew, crates and scheduling around them — quoted separately from the base crew-and-truck rate.
