What Kogarah actually involves.
Kogarah has three distinct zones and they each move differently. The hospital precinct — Belgrave, Gray, and Regent Streets around St George Hospital — has weekday traffic pressure from medical-staff shift changes (7am, 11am, 3pm, 11pm) and visitor parking overflow. The residential strip along Princes Highway has the same walk-up apartment pattern as neighbouring Rockdale, mostly 1960s–80s red-brick blocks. And the streets west of the Princes Highway (Railway Parade, President Avenue, English Street) run into quieter family-home blocks with Federation cottages and post-war brick homes.
St George Hospital is the defining factor. Parking in the 500m radius around the hospital is permit-only or short-stay metered; the side streets fill by 7:30am on weekdays with staff vehicles. For any move within that radius we schedule for either 6:30am starts (before the shift change) or midday starts (during the lunch-window gap). Weekend access is clean.
Kogarah Station precinct has had several new apartment developments since 2018 — 6–10 storey towers with service lifts and formal move-in procedures. The building managers are generally reasonable to deal with and the lift bookings are less tight than Hurstville Westfield-area towers. 7 days notice is usually plenty.

Avoid hospital shift-change windows
7am, 11am, 3pm, and 11pm are the St George Hospital staff change times. Parking becomes unworkable within 500m of the hospital during a 30-minute window either side. 6:30am or 12noon starts avoid both AM changes.

Tell us which side of the Princes Highway
Kogarah east (hospital, station) and Kogarah west (family homes) have different quotes. The west side is usually the easier job.

Kogarah Station towers built since 2018 each have their own move-in rules. We keep building-specific notes; naming it on the quote speeds the process.

Cottage move — flag hallway width
Some Kogarah Federation cottages have narrow central hallways that dont take a modern king-size bedframe or a 3-seater corner sofa without disassembly. Photos on the quote form are enough for us to flag this before the day.
